5th Africa Agriculture Science Week and FARA General Assembly
Tue, 05/18/2010 - 08:27 — Cristina Sette
This is a major event of FARA held every three years to show progress and identify future programs which is related to 'Agriculture innovations in a changing global environment'. We are excited that the momentum gained in South Africa in 2007 is continuing in Burkina Faso within a very different environment. This year, we have an added value when AU-NEPAD decided to hold their CAADP Day during the week. This will feature the achievements and lessons learnt from the past few years in the implementation of CAADP, as well as feature countries with promising outlook. We are also highly honored that our week will be featuring the award gala of the Foundation for Democracy in Africa which gives their Medal of Glory Award to prominent African leaders who contributed to the advancement of African development, democracy and good governance.
