BetterEvaluation

What is BetterEvaluation?
BetterEvaluation is an international collaboration to improve evaluation. BetterEvaluation is designed to support practitioners to share their knowledge and experience to take the field forward and develop fresh, innovative, and novel approaches to evaluation.

At the heart of the project is an interactive web-based platform about evaluation methods and approaches that supports evaluators and evaluation commissioners to choose the most appropriate combinations of evaluation approaches and methods, and to implement these methods well.

Surrounding this is a network of collaborators who co-create the content by sharing information and examples from their experience with specific evaluation methods, by linking to other resources about evaluation methods and approaches, by conducting special events such as webinars, demonstrations and write-shops, and by conducting research and development projects on specific evaluation methods.

BetterEvaluation is being developed by an international network of founding partners – Overseas Development Institute, Pact, ILAC (the Institutional Learning and Change initiative of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research), and RMIT University (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology). Initial development has been supported by funding from the Rockefeller Foundation and Pact.
