Abstract:

This volume on monitoring for adaptive collaborative management (ACM) fundamentally challenges that perspective and offers a new perspective. It considers monitoring a process of socially negotiated learning. The contributors stress the need to negotiate core definitions and methodologies for monitoring, as well as new understandings about resource management that emerge from joint information analysis.
