Project overview

Introduction

The goal of the project is to improve the evaluation of applied agricultural R&D programs, so as to improve the use of evaluation in R&D decision-making and program improvement. The specific focus of the project is on the contributions of collaborative R&D programs to sustainable poverty reduction.

Project components

  1. Development of an on-line resource portal and help desk
  2. Compilation and assessment of existing evaluations of impacts of complex R&D programs.
  3. Conduct a set of exemplary new evaluations of the impacts of complex programs and synthesize the results.
  4. Facilitate knowledge sharing among those carrying out impact evaluations
  5. Develop capacity for evaluating complex, collaborative R&D programs
  6. Advocate for better evaluation and R&D programming

The Impact Evaluation Approaches for Collaborative Agricultural Research & Development project is a partnership between Research into Use, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and ILAC.
