Abstract:

This handbook seeks to help bridge that gap in two ways: (a) it describes the nature of successful partnerships: their characteristics, their benefits, their challenges; and (b) it provides practical guidance to leaders, managers, and professionals in agricultural research who are using or considering partnerships as a way to achieve greater results. Given the two areas of focus, sections 1, 2, and 3 of the handbook are written more like an overview of literature and theory. Sections 4 and 5, which might be called the hands-on portion of the handbook, are more practically oriented and written more informally.
